Man cited for publishing ballot on Facebook

Electoral law prohibits voting booth photo

(ANSA) - Fano, February 25 - Police in the town of San Giorgio di Pesaro cited a man on Monday for posting a picture on Facebook of his ballot taken in a voting booth.

Election observers said they were unaware that the 40-year-old photographed his ballot then publishing a picture, violating the country's electoral privacy law.
