
(ANSA) - Rome, February 25 - The anti-establishment Five
Star Movement of comic Beppe Grillo is projected to be the
biggest party in the Italian Senate with 25.1%, a projection by
public broadcaster RAI said Monday.
The center-left Democratic Party is second with 25%,
followed by the center-right People of Freedom party with 22.7%
and outgoing Premier Mario Monti's centrist party with 9.6%, the
Piepoli Institute projected.
As for coalition leaders, the center-right is up with 31.6%
followed by the center left's 29.4%, according to the RAI
projection.
