Elderly woman robbed of jewels by fake police
False officers took over 100,000 euros in valuables

(ANSA) - Milan, February 25 - An 83-year-old woman was
robbed of at least 100,000 euros worth of jewelry on Monday by a
man and woman posing as police in the city of Milan.The elderly woman was approached by the two fake officers and told they needed to carry out security checks at the woman's residence. After convincing the woman to show them her jewels, they served her with a false citation and "confiscated" the valuables, the woman told police.
