Soccer: Roma deny links to Mancini, Allegri (ANSA) - Rome, February 22 - AS Roma on Friday denied reports that they had approached AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri or Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and said caretaker coach Aurelio Andreazzoli may get the job permanently.

"AS Roma would like to dismiss the rumours suggesting they are in talks to appoint a new coach next season," the Serie A club said via their Twitter account.

"Aurelio Andreazzoli is the Roma coach and there is every reason to believe he will continue in that role for the coming seasons".

Andreazzoli was promoted from assistant coach at the start of the month after Zdenek Zeman was sacked following a poor run of form.

Roma, who are eighth in Serie A, lost 3-1 at Sampdoria in their first game under Andreazzoli, but they beat leaders Juventus 1-0 last weekend. The American-controlled club have also been linked to Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti, a former Roma player.
