Bersani never 'certain' about political center's strength

(ANSA) - Rome, February 22 - Centre-left leader Pier Luigi
Bersani said Friday the he had never been certain that the
political center "could deal with the profound upheavals in the
country"."I never thought that a center position could be effective," Bersani told an ANSA forum responding to questions about the electoral outcome for centrist and outgoing Premier Mario Monti.
