PD offers transport for disabled and elderly voters in Padua
Volunteer taxis will operate for duration of elections and snow

(ANSA) - Padua, February 21 - The Padua branch of the
Democratic Party (PD) in the northern region of Veneto said on
Thursday that in the case of heavy snowfall free taxis would be
made available for the elderly and disabled going to the polls
to vote in national elections on Sunday and Monday.Italian weather forecasts for many parts of the country are warning of winter storms starting Thursday and Veneto is one of the regions bracing to be hit hardest.
The initiative, organized by PD Padua head Piero Ruzzante and local campaign organizer Massimo Bettin will be offered for "as long as voting continues and there is the need," they said.
