Escaped inmates captured near Varese
Three men sawed through cell bars, say police

(ANSA) - Varese, February 21 - Three inmates who broke out
of jail in the northern Italian town of Varese overnight have
been captured after less than 24 hours of searches, police said
Thursday evening.
The men, all of Romanian origin, sawed through their cell
bars, a prison guard union said.Two of the inmates are serving time for robbery, while the third is jailed for pimping.
