Couple murdered near Catanzaro, possibly by 'Ndrangheta
Assassin with kalashnikov fired over 30 rounds

(ANSA) - Catanzaro, February 19 - The brutal, double murder
of a husband and wife in front of their home on Tuesday near the
Calabrian city of Catanzaro could be linked to a local
'Ndrangheta mafia feud, police said.The couple, 39-year-old Giuseppe Bruno and his 29-year-old wife, Caterina Raimondi were gunned down by an assassin armed with a kalashnikov who shot the two more than 30 times.
Police medical investigators said that the couple died instantly - Bruno from shots to his neck and chest and Raimondi from shots that left her face completely disfigured.
Bruno owned a local travel agency and managed a bar, while Raimondi managed a home goods store.
Bruno's brother was killed last year in an similar ambush.
