Bersani to 'have a beer' in event of Berlusconi flop
Ex-premier earlier pledged to get drunk over Monti defeat

(ANSA) - Rome, February 19 - Democratic Party (PD) secretary
and centre-left leader Pierluigi Bersani said on Tuesday he
would "have a beer" if ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi and his
centre-right coalition ally Northern League performed badly in
general elections on Sunday and Monday.
His comment came in reply to Berlusconi, who earlier said
he would get drunk if incumbent Premier Mario Monti, leader of a
small centrist and reformist platform, didn't make it into
parliament.
