(ANSA) - Foggia, February 15 - A southern Italian gang stole
cars and sold them back to owners, making thousands of euros in
profits, police said Friday.The gang based near Foggia in Puglia burned the cars if the owners were unable or refused to pay them, police said.
Standard charges for having the vehicles back were 8,000-13,000 euros.
Police arrested 23 people.
