S&P may cut Telecom Italia's rating
Agency concerned about earnings, debts

(ANSA) - Milan, February 14 - Standard & Poor's said
Thursday that it had put Telecom Italia under observation in
view of a possible downgrade of its credit rating.The agency said it was concerned about the company's declining earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) and its ability to cut its debts.
S&P said Telecom Italia's long-term BBB rating and its short-term A-2 rating had been put on negative credit watch.
