Sanremo audience still strong on second night
Some 43% of Italian TV viewers tuned into the song festival

(ANSA) - Sanremo, February 14 - Italian state-owned
television broadcaster RAI's Sanremo song festival broadcasts
scored a second consecutive night of big audiences even though
fewer viewers tuned in compared to the opening night.The first part of the show was watched by almost 12.5 million people, equal to a 42.21% share of the Italian television market, according to media surveyor Auditel.
The second half of the broadcast, in the late night slot, was seen by some 6.6 million viewers, or a share of about 49%.
On average, the second night of the annual festival, in its 63rd edition, had a 42.89% audience share. On the first night, the broadcasts - hosted by comedians Fabio Fazio and Luciana Littizetto - were seen by some 6 million more viewers.
