Soccer: Inter fined for racist Balotelli chants (ANSA) - Milan, February 11 - Mario Balotelli's former club Inter Milan were fined 15,000 euros by Serie A's sporting judge on Monday after their fans targeted the Italy forward in racist chants.

"Balotelli son of a bitch," a group of Inter fans sang during their side's 3-1 win over Chievo Verona on Sunday before doing monkey chants.

They also chanted "there's no such thing as Italian niggers" at halftime when the San Siro big screen showed Balotelli scoring the penalty that earned AC Milan a 1-1 draw with Cagliari.

Balotelli, who made his breakthrough at the top level with Inter, returned from a two-and-a-half-year stint at English champions Manchester City to join Milan last month.

Inter and Milan face each in the city derby on February 24.

Serie A leaders Juventus were also fined 15,000 after their fans sang chants insulting Neapolitans.
