Two die, three injured in Rome road accident (ANSA) - Rome, February 8 - Two people died and three more were seriously injured on Thursday night when a car travelling in a Rome suburb veered off the road and ended up in a ditch.

At least one of the victims, aged 22 and 26, is believed to be Romanian, as are the three survivors.

One of the injured is a 15-year-old boy. The accident took place in the Montecompatri area on Via Casilina east of Rome.

Police are trying to establish the cause of the accident, which remains unclear, and if all of the victims were in the car or possibly pedestrians.
