Italian business output lowest in 22 years
Production index drops 6.7% in 2012

(ANSA) - Rome, February 8 - Italy's industrial production
level dropped to its lowest in 22 years, statistics agency Istat
said on Friday.The 2012 production index, a reflection of how hard the recession is hitting the Italian economy, was 82.9, the lowest level since 1990, Istat said.
Industrial production for the entire 2012 period fell by 6.7%, the worst annual change since 2009.
