Soccer: Milan deny links to doping-tainted doctor

Club 'never had contact' with Fuentes

(ANSA) - Milan, February 6 - AC Milan on Wednesday denied reports of links to doping-tainted Spanish doctor Eufemanio Fuentes.

A report in the Spanish media said that a document used as evidence in a Madrid trial suggested there was a link between the Serie A club and the doctor at the centre of the Operacion Puerto doping scandal in cycling.

The doctor recently said that he worked with footballers as well as cyclists.

"Any references to the activities of Dr. Fuentes regarding Milan are the result of false interpretations or an error," said a club statement.

"Milan reserve the right to take legal action against anyone who claims, suggests or insinuates the opposite".
