Piece of Uffizi fresco falls off in Florence
Section of 16th-century work fell from corridor ceiling

(ANSA) - Florence, February 6 - A piece of a 16th-century
fresco fell from the ceiling of a corridor in Florence's Uffizi
Gallery on Wednesday.
The piece, which has a diameter of around 30cm, did not hit
any visitors as it fell.
Restores are already at work.
The piece is said to have detached due to work that was
taking place near the fresco.
