(ANSA) - Rome, February 5 - Food prices crept up 3.2% in
January, the sharpest spike since February 2009, national
statistics agency Istat reported Tuesday.
The four-year high outpaced inflation for the month, which
was 2.2%.
Prices on products most commonly bought were up 2.7%.
