Soccer: Malesani replaces Gasperini at Palermo

(ANSA) - Palermo, February 4 - Alberto Malesani was named
Monday as Palermo coach after Serie A's bottom side sacked Gian
Piero Gasperini.The much-travelled Malesani, who becomes Palermo's third coach this season, will be in charge until at least June, the club said.
Palermo fired Gasperini after their poor form continued with Sunday's 2-1 home defeat to Atalanta.
Gasperini, the former boss of Inter Milan, was appointed in September when Giuseppe Sannino was sacked just three weeks into the campaign.
