Home defeat to Atalanta sees former Inter boss dismissed

(ANSA) - Palermo, February 4 - Serie A's bottom side Palermo on Monday sacked coach Gian Piero Gasperini after their poor form continued with a 2-1 home defeat to Atalanta on Sunday.

The move means the Sicilian club are set to have their third coach this season as Gasperini, the former boss on Inter Milan, was appointed in September when Giuseppe Sannino was sacked just three weeks into the campaign.
