Fire takes lives of mother and three children
Wood stove causes blaze southeast of Milan

(ANSA) - Milan, February 4 - A mother and three children
were killed in a farmhouse fire on Sunday in the Lodigiano area
roughly 30 kilometers southeast of Milan.Flames escaped a wood stove, spread and caused the roof to collapse.
The woman, 43, and three of her four children, ages 12, 16 and 19, died in the fire.
The father and one son, age 18, survived.
The family was Egyptian in origin, but had lived in Italy for 30 years. A nativity scene museum housed in one wing of the farmhouse was spared by the flames.
