Daughter who chopped up father says she 'found him dead'
Medical student says discovered dad in two bags on porch

(ANSA) - Cosenza, January 31 - A woman taken into custody
on Wednesday by police on the suspicion that she may have
murdered her father admitted that she had cut him into pieces,
but only after finding him dead and chopped in two on their
front porch.Police and fire fighters discovered the dismembered remains of 72-year-old Riccardo Chiurco in eight boxes within the apartment he shared with his 38-year-old daughter, Stefania.
Emergency services were called by relatives of Chiurco when they had not heard from him for several days. Chiurco's daughter told police that her father went out on the evening of December 27 but did not return home for the night. She said that she found two bags containing the halved body of her father the next morning and decided to bring them into the house and further dissect the body out of fear of being implicated.
The daughter, a medical student, told police that relations with her father were good. An autopsy has been ordered by investigators to ascertain the cause of death.
