Two police sentenced to 12 years in prison for beating death

Officers lose appeal on murder of homeless man in 2008

(ANSA) - Milan, January 30 - An appeals court Wednesday sentenced two police officers to 12 years in prison for the beating death of a homeless man in 2008.

The officers were originally sentenced to 10 years each in the death of Giuseppe Turrisi in Milan's central police station in September 2008.

One of the officers was also sentenced to three years for forgery.
