(ANSA) - Palermo, January 30 - A Palermo court sentenced
Sicilian Mafia kingpin Gianni Nicchi to 10 years in prison on
Wednesday, condemned 25 other mobsters to serve a total of
almost 200 years among them and acquitted five defendants.
Nicchi, son of a convicted Cosa Nostra member, was
sentenced in absentia to 18 years in jail in January 2008 for
extortion and Mafia links.He was finally nabbed by police in Palermo in December 2010.
