Swiss man arrested for allegedly murdering Italian couple

Husband and wife from Bari lived in Switzerland since 1975

(ANSA) - Bari, January 29 - Police in Switzerland have arrested a 41-year-old man for the alleged murder of an Italian couple living in the town of St. Margrethen since 1975, shot to death late Monday evening.

The couple, 74-year-old Angelo Michele Capuano and his wife 67-year-old Orsola Leonardi, originally from the southern Italian city of Bari, lived in the small town near the Austrian border.

Police arrested the building administrator on Monday evening in Rorschach, a town eight kilometres away.

Neighbors said that the administrator reportedly had "disagreements" with the couple.
