Soccer: Milan 'close' to signing Balotelli
Juventus also reportedly bidding for Italy forward29 January, 13:30
Balotelli, who has been called up by English champions City for their visit to Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday, has reportedly sent messages to friends in Italy telling them he is returning and is said to have thrown a party at the weekend to say goodbye to his friends in Britain.
The British media reported that Serie A champions Juventus have tried to pip Milan to Balotelli by presenting a bid in the region of the 20 million euros offered by their Serie A rivals. Last week British media reported City had lowered their demands for the talented, temperamental 22-year-old from 37 million euros to 25 million.
Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi said earlier this month that he did not want to sign Balotelli and described the player as a rotten apple.
