Saudi Prince rents cinema in ski-resort town Cortina

(ANSA) - Venice, January 29 - Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal has rented an entire cinema in the Dolomite ski-resort town of Cortina d'Ampezzo for his family and friends vacationing there for a week, Il Gazzettino daily newspaper said on Tuesday.

The prince, the thirteenth richest man in the world and financial partner of ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi, reportedly rented one of Cortina's cinemas from the municipal administration for exclusive private screenings for his 60 family members and friends.

"Considering the times, and since we have another movie theater where we can continue showing films, we willingly accepted the offer," Mayor Andrea Franceschi said.
