Soccer: Roma 'considering' sacking Zeman
But director of sport says change of coach not likely

(ANSA) - Rome, January 28 - AS Roma are considering sacking
coach Zdenek Zeman after some poor recent results, but the
uncompromising Czech is more likely to stay than leave, Director
of Sport Walter Sabatini said Monday.Roma fans were euphoric when the club brought back the chain-smoking 65-year-old as they loved the swashbuckling approach he adopted in his trophyless first stint with them from 1997 to 1999.
But Roma are a disappointing eighth in Serie A after Sunday's 3-3 draw at Bologna with 34 points from 22 games, 15 points behind leaders Juve. Zeman has also come under fire following tension with Italy midfielder Daniele De Rossi, who is no longer certain of a place in Roma's starting line-up. De Rossi is out for two weeks with a thigh injury at the moment. "We've come to the situation in which we are not very satisfied about what the team manages to produce," Sabatini said. "Now we'll pause a little to ask ourselves why we have not met our demands, talking about the work done or whether we got something wrong when we were assembling the squad. "We are in a period of study in which the idea of changing coach is contemplated, although very marginally because the coach has done well with us and, despite everything, we are happy".
