Soccer: Milan 'bid 24 million euros' for Balotelli (ANSA) - Milan, January 28 - AC Milan have presented a 24-million-euro bid to Manchester City to sign Italy forward Mario Balotelli in the January transfer window, ANSA sources said on Monday.

Milan Chief Executive Adriano Galliani, who has repeatedly played down the club's chances of signing the 22-year-old, is in England for negotiations with the Premier League champions.

Last week British media reported City had lowered their demands for the player from 37 million euros to 25 million.

British tabloid newspaper the Sun reported that the talented, temperamental forward threw a party on Sunday to say goodbye to his friends in England.

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi said earlier this month that he did not want to sign Balotelli and described the player as a rotten apple.
