Bag washed ashore in Curacao could belong to Missoni
Fashion chief missing after plane disappeared January 4

(ANSA) - Rome, January 28 - A German tourist vacationing on
the island of Curacao in the southern Caribbean Sea found a
duffel bag washed up on a rock formation that may have been on
the plane carrying Italian fashion chief Vittorio Missoni and
five others that went missing January 4 off the coast Venezuela,
Italian daily Corriere della Sera said on Monday.Missoni was among four Italians on board the flight, including his wife Maurizia Castiglioni and another couple.
They were travelling to Caracas after holiday on an island in the Los Roques Caribbean archipelago.
The recovered bag containing kitesurf equipment matches the description of one that was reportedly loaded on the plane carrying Missoni before takeoff from a resort in Los Roques.
The distance between Los Roques and Curacao is 200 kilometers by sea.
A pilot and co-pilot were also on board the plane.
