Planned prison break foiled

Four arrested at Tolmezzo in Friuli

(ANSA) - Udinese, January 23 - Italian police on Wednesday said they had foiled plans to hoist two inmates out of Tolmezzo prison in the northeastern region of Friuli with a helicopter.

Four people were arrested for the planned jail break.

They are also accused of drugs and arms trafficking.
