House calls on Italian govt to give Mali air support
UN requests air support for two-three months

(ANSA) - Rome, January 22 - The House called on the Italian
government to implement a UN request for air support to French
and Mali forces fighting Islamists in the African country.
The proposal calls for support over a two-month period and
extendable to three.
Italy's contribution would include aircraft to transport
personnel and equipment.
