Benedict XVI takes delivery of new popemobiles
Vehicles in traditional pearl white and run on unleaded petrol

(ANSA) - Vatican City, December 7 - Pope Benedict XVI on
Friday took delivery of two new popemobiles designed specially
for him by German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz.
The vehicles, based on the four-wheel drive M Class
Mercedes, are painted in the traditional mother-of-pearl white,
are slightly lower than the preceding version to better allow
for air transportation and run on unleaded petrol.
