Italy, Germany, Poland say 'we will overcome crisis' (ANSA) - Naples, November 19 - The presidents of Italy, Germany and Poland said in Naples Monday that Europe "will overcome the economic crisis".

"At a time when many look at Europe with uncertainty, in which Europe does not look capable of fulfilling its promise of a just society...we, the heads of state of both new and old EU member nations, wish to send a message of encouragement," said Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, German President Joachim Gauck and Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, in a joint statement during a visit to Naples for a series of conferences on central and southern Europe. The heads of state also spoke of their shared interests in European solidarity and decried nationalism, saying Europe should "confront the challenges of a globalized world". On the heels of news last week that the eurozone had once again entered recession, the presidents emphasized that "sustainable growth is the best way to maintain prosperity and stability on the continent".
