Caught opening doors despite 'total blindness'

Fake blind man nabbed in Calabria (ANSA) - Reggio Calabria, November 9 - Italian police on Friday nabbed a fake blind man who had allegedly defrauded the Italian State of 145,000 euros since 1986.

The man, 69, from a village in Calabria, was seen opening doors without glasses despite getting benefits for "total blindness", police said.

They confiscated the money he allegedly embezzled.
