Grilli says Italy still has 'plenty of hard work ahead' (ANSA) - Tokyo, October 11 - Italy still has a great deal of hard work ahead as it struggles to emerge from economic crisis, Finance Minister Vittorio Grilli said Thursday.

"It is important for Italy to continue to follow this strategy involving rigorous state accounting which appears right, inevitable, and with no alternatives," Grilli said following meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.

He added that Italy has received much support and congratulations for the work it has done in getting its books in order.
