Man under surveillance shot near southern town of Bari

(ANSA) - Gravina in Puglia, October 5 - A man under police
surveillance was shot and killed near the southern town of Bari
in Puglia on Friday, authorities said.The 50-year-old was under investigation for criminal association with the Puglia mafia, the Sacra Corona Unita.
Police say he was shot three times in the chest and stomach with a revolver, but that no spent cartridges were found near the man's body.
