Doctors busted for charging dead patients in Italy

(ANSA) - Rome, October 2 - Over 100 doctors in the southern
Campania region around Naples were cited Tuesday for falsely
claiming a total of three million euros in government
reimbursements for patients that were dead or had moved away.
Police said 146 claimed false compensations in the province
of Avellino from 2000 to 2008, 10 of whom were charged for
fraudulent reimbursements for dead patients.
