Basketball: Chinese may buy top-level Italian team
'Several companies interested' in Victoria Libertas Pesaro

(ANSA) - Pesaro, September 20 - Chinese industrialists have
expressed interest in buying up Victoria Libertas Pesaro, a
top-level Italian basketball team.
According to Alberto Drudi, president of the chamber of
commerce of Pesaro and Urbino, one of the interested parties is
Benelli, the historic Pesaro-based motorcycle company now owned
by Chinese firm Qianjiang Group."Benelli may not be the only one interested, but also several companies from China, some of which already have a footing in Italy," he said.
