George Clooney risks injury, sets bad example with 'old' helmet
Former ER star 'should know about smashed heads' says ASAPS

(ANSA) - Rome, July 27 - Hollywood film star and sometimes Italian resident George Clooney is risking his life and possibly the well-being of his fans.
How? He's riding with an unsafe motorcycle helmet.
So says Italy's Association of Friends and Supporters of Traffic Police (ASAPS). Apparently Clooney has been caught on camera near his home on Lake Como riding his motorcycle wearing a helmet that was outlawed two years ago.
"Do us a favour, George, and buy a good helmet," the ASAPS has urged in an appeal on its website.
Not only is Clooney risking a fine, and possible head injury, but he's also failing as a role model, says the group, which alludes to Clooney's days playing emergency-room doctor Doug Ross in the television series "ER." "Of all the messages that our beloved Doug could send as a front-line doctor who should be familiar with the smashed heads of bikers...this is the worst".
