(ANSA) - Boston, July 26 - AS Roma beat English giants
Liverpool 2-1 in a friendly played at Boston's Fenway Park, the
storied home of the baseball team the Boston Red Sox.United States midfielder Michael Bradley fired home from a tight angle to open the score for the Italian side in the 62nd minute and Alessandro Florenzi thrashed a loose ball home eight minutes later to double the lead.
Liverpool defender Charlie Adam pulled one back for Liverpool in the 80th minute.
Roma's Argentine forward Erik Lamela hit the post in the closing stages. The three-time Italian champions started their summer tour of the United States in style with a 4-0 win over Polish side Zaglebie Lubin at Chicago's Wrigley Field on Sunday.
The tour will end in New Jersey on Friday with a friendly match in Red Bull Arena against the El Salvador national team.
