Freed aid worker Urru questioned by Rome prosecutors (ANSA) - Rome, July 20 - Humanitarian aid worker Rossella Urru appeared before Rome prosecutors for questioning on Friday in connection with her kidnapping in Algeria by Islamic rebels last October.

Urru arrived at Rome's Ciampino airport late on Thursday after been freed along with two Spanish aid workers following a nine-month ordeal. Rome prosecutors have opened an investigation into the kidnapping and a possible link to terrorism. Urru and her Spanish co-workers were abducted in the refugee camp of Rabuni near the southwestern Algerian city of Tindouf on October 23, allegedly by the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa. The movement has reportedly said it received a 15 million euros ransom for their release.
