(ANSA) - Rome, July 10 - Mario Balotelli's ex-girlfriend
Raffaella Fico has said she is willing to have a DNA test to
prove that the Italy forward is the father of the unborn child
she is carrying.Fico, a model and former contestant on Italy's Big Brother who split with the Manchester City player two months ago, revealed she was pregnant last week.
Balotelli, 21, is reported to have told her that he will respect his obligations if a paternity test shows he is the father.
"I'll do the DNA test," Fico said in an open letter to Balotelli that will be published in gossip weekly Chi on Wednesday.
"I want this child with all my heart and I want it because the child did not arrive by chance, it is the fruit of the love between two people, and you know very well what I mean".
Fico said she wrote an open letter to Balotelli in the magazine because it was the only way she had to communicate with him.
"Even though life's events separated us, you will be a responsible, constantly present father, as well as one full of love for your creature," she wrote.
"You know where to find me. I'll always be willing to talk to you about the future of your child. Of our child".
Fico previously said she broke the news of the pregnancy to Balotelli the day before he scored twice in a 2-1 win over Germany last month to put Italy into the final of Euro 2012.
