Soccer: Milan say closed-season transfer business over (ANSA) - Milan, July 4 - AC Milan Chief Executive Adriano Galliani said on Wednesday that the Serie A club have already done all the business they intend to do on the close-season transfer market.

"Milan's transfer market is totally closed," Galliani said.

"The squad is totally complete and that goes for players leaving too. A few players, like (Algerian full back Djamel) Mesbah might leave, but none of them will be top-level squad members". Milan have strengthened their midfield by signing Italy international Riccardo Montolivo and Mali's Bakaye Traore' on free transfers after the players' respective contracts with Fiorentina and French outfit Nancy expired.

The seven-time European champions, who saw a number of big names such as Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso and Mark van Bommel leave at the end of last season, have also drafted in 25-year-old Guinea midfielder Kevin Constant from Genoa and defender Francesco Acerbi from Chievo Verona.

But the most important piece of business they have done is probably their decision to turn down a big bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Thiago Silva and extend the Brazil centre back's contract until June 2102.

They also look set to hang on to inspirational Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
