Pope considers trip to Lebanon
Document on the Church in the Middle East to be presented

(ANSA) - Vatican City, February 7 - A papal visit to
Lebanon this year could be in the works.Following mass on Tuesday, the top Roman Catholic representative in the Holy Land, Patriarch Fouad Twal, said that Pope Benedict XVI was expected to present a document on the future of the church in the Middle East sometime in September. Though specifics cannot yet be confirmed, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said that it is "true the Pope would like to organize a trip in connection with the publication of the document".
