(ANSA) - Rome, August 3 - Libya fired a missile at an
Italian ship enforcing the UN-mandated blockade of the North
African country Wednesday, Italian government sources told ANSA.The projectile fell "well short" of the Bersagliere, a missile-equipped patrol ship, they said.
It was the first such attack on a vessel in the NATO-led force supporting the Benghazi-based rebels fighting Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
