Soccer: Inter eye Palermo
But Sicilians 'will give 150%,' says Rossi

(ANSA) - Milan, March 19 - Inter Milan is set on getting its
bid for a fifth straight Serie A title back on track after the
euphoria of beating Chelsea in midweek to qualify for the
Champions League quarter-finals.Four draws and a defeat have allowed AC Milan to close within one point and Saturday night's game at Palermo is crucial to Jose' Mourinho stated goal of doing the treble of league championship, Italian Cup and Champions League trophy.
Mourinho will be back on the bench in Sicily after a three-match touchline ban but is still keeping up a press blackout, at least in Italy.
So it was up to owner Massimo Moratti to put things in perspective after the Stamford Bridge triumph.
"We've spoken to the players about the Champions (League) win. That was great but now we've got a really tough game in Palermo," he told reporters.
"Now we have to focus on the championship".
Fourth-placed Palermo are unbeaten on their home turf and ex-Juventus striker Fabrizio Miccoli is in the form of his life so the Inter defence of Maicon, Zanetti, Lucio and Walter 'the Wall' Samuel will have to show the same steel it did in snuffing out the threat of Drogba and Co.
Up front, Mario Balotelli is still in the dog-house for rumoured disciplinary reasons so Samuel Eto'o, matchwinner against Chelsea, will partner Diego Milito with Wesley Sneijder again providing the bullets and posing a freekick threat.
Palermo coach Delio Rossi, who has led the Sicilians up from midtable to a Champions berth, said Friday: "Inter is by far the strongest team in Italy. Let's hope we find some weak spots".
"We'll have to give 150%," said the ex-Lazio manager.
Milan were geed up ahead of Sunday's home game with 8th-placed Napoli by Italian Premier and club owner Silvio Berlusconi who urged them to "believe, believe to the end" in the ten matches until the end of the championship.
CEO Adriani Galliani called them "ten battles to be won".
After the loss of David Beckham and Alessandro Nesta, coach Leonardo will be glad to have Pato back on the right wing while 'Superpippo' Inzaghi is expected to come in for Marco Borriello after featuring strongly in last week's last-gasp win against Chievo.
But the hero of that match, Clarence Seedorf, is unlikely to find a starting slot in a holding midfield of Mathieu Flamini, Massimo Ambrosini and Andrea Pirlo.
Third-placed Roma host 15th-placed Udinese Saturday night amid a midfield suspension crisis that has forced coach Claudio Ranieri to bring in French defensive midfielder Ricardo Faty and Matteo Brighi in place of Claudio Pizarro and Daniele De Rossi.
The Romans will also be without central defender Philippe Mexes and right winger Rodrigo Taddei, also suspended.
Roma, five points behind Milan, looked weary in their 3-3 draw at 18th-placed Livorno last time out but Ranieri said Friday: "We're not tired. It's just that things aren't quite clicking the way they did before".
Despite having to do without injured skipper Francesco Totti, Roma has also raced up the table and, as Udinese coach Pasquale Marino noted, "you don't take a team that's been unbeaten in 19 games lightly".
But amid flagging ticket sales for the Olimpico clash striker Luca Toni appealed to fans to get behind the team after the semi-disappointment at Livorno, saying on his website Friday: "Don't miss it, please". Juventus, in fifth place a point behind Palermo and 14 behind Inter, are in glum mood after being dumped out of the Europa League after a 4-1 defeat at Fulham.
"I would never have imagined a night like that," said skipper Alessandro Del Piero while the sports press said Juve's defensive frailty, especially the missteps of Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro, "have now become a national issue".
But coach Alberto Zaccheroni has named an unchanged side for Sunday night's match at Sampdoria.
The Genoa outfit, a point below Juve in sixth, are giving Antonio Cassano his first start in two months.
