Confindustria warns against protection

(ANSA) - Bolzano, November 10 - The president of the Italian industrialists' confederation Confindustria Vincenzo Boccia said Thursday he hoped protectionism would not prevail in the US under newly elected Republican president Donald Trump. "We are talking about a great democracy," Boccia said. "The Americans have chosen their president. We hope protectionism will not prevail in the interests of America and Europe," he added.
