A Balinese man stabs himself with a 'keris', a short dagger,
while in a state of trance during a sacred ritual at Petilan
Pengerebongan Temple in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, 23 April
2017. When a group of people get into trance, they scream and
stab themselves with a 'keris', but there is no bleeding.
Balinese believe that trance is a way of god to show their
presence in the ceremony. ANSA
