Croatia: govt announces 270 mln investments in Split area

For infrastructure, road projects, environment and transport

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 04 MAG - The Croatian government said that it will invest almost two billion kuna (approximately 270 million euro) for projects in Split and in the nearby area, in Dalmatia.

"We are doing this in the spirit of partnership and cooperation," Croatian Prime minister Andrej Plenkovic said, according to a statement on the official government website.

The announcement came after a government session held in Split, the fifth organized outside Zagreb by the Plenkovic government, the statement clarified.

According to local media, the funds will be used to develop infrastructural and road projects, to improve the links with the islands of Brac and Hvar and for other initiatives in the cultural and health sector, and for environmental protection.
